Torn City

🎯 Merc Service

We hit factions for other factions. You tell us who, we count what lands, and you pay afterwards.

Pick the work

Hospitalize to keep an enemy off the board, or Prewar Mugs to take the money with you. One contract does one kind, so the bill is never a guess about what a hit was for.

Set the rules

Inactive targets only, with a minimum idle time — or anybody. Stricken on the finishing hit if you want it. Players we must leave alone, by Torn ID.

Watch it land

A private channel opens with a summary at the top that updates as hits land: how many, under which rules, and what it has cost so far. Nobody has to add anything up.

Pay at the end

Nothing up front, and never to a merc. When the contract ends a merc service manager agrees the total with you and marks it paid. Nobody else can.

How a hit is counted

Every hit is checked against your contract before it reaches your bill: the right kind of attack, on the target the contract names — the faction, or the players you listed — on nobody you excluded, inside the window you bought, and idle for as long as you asked. Anything that fails one of those is not billed to you.

Stricken is charged only when it is proved. Torn records the finishing hit's effects, and that is what the desk reads. If a contract asked for Stricken and a hit cannot prove it, you pay the plain rate for that hit. If your contract did not ask for Stricken, you never pay the premium — even if the merc used it.

Ordering one

In our Discord, in the merc channel. The order form asks five questions and opens your contract's channel straight away.

You need: the target faction's ID — or the player IDs of the people you want hit, separated by commas — how long you want us working, whether Stricken is required, whether we may hit active players, and anybody we must leave alone.

Working for us

Family members only.

Every member of The Hangout Family can take merc work — the family, not one faction. You give the desk a Limited API key, which is how it reads your own attack log and confirms the hits you are paid for, and it gives you the Merc role in Discord.

You are paid per landed hit, out of what the desk was paid. The merc panel shows what you have earned and what is still waiting on a customer to settle.
